Meet Our Team

The Village truly cares about its team members. We are treated as individuals and are expected to have a life outside of work. I love coming to work because I feel valued and my coworkers feel like family.Ann M., Spa Supervisor & Buyer Since February 2017

I started working for the Spa at Gainey February 15, 2017 as a nail technician and was promoted to my current position on March 11, 2019.
My current position is very fluid. I move from working the front desk to buying and selling product and occasionally still do nail services when called upon based on business needs.
I love how no two days are the same. I cannot call my role at the Village boring. My job is flexible and moves in different directions constantly. I definitely have to roll with whatever is thrown at me, but it makes my days go by quickly and the energy at the Village is positive and fun.
The Village is made up of professionals that also know how to enjoy life. There is a wonderful mix of work and fun.
I am proud to work for an organization that treats their employees so well. I enjoy coming to work every day and that is a testament to how well we are treated. Come join the Village - it is a great place to be!

I am proud to work at one of the best gyms in the state. Many people seek out to work here or be a member here. It's because we are more than a gym - we offer a strong community.Adal H., Welcome Desk Manager Since May 2014

My biggest goal when I was hired at The Village was to become the Welcome Desk Manager. I knew it would take time to achieve my goal, but I was driven and focused. I had several stepping stones along the way, starting out at the towel desk as a Club Attendant. After some hard work, I was promoted to Manager on Duty. After a few years, I had the opportunity to work in the Cafe.
Wanting to grow and learn again, I was given the opportunity to move over to the Junior Tennis program. My next goal was to become Employee of the Month, which I managed to get twice along the way!
Next, my General Manager asked me if I would be interested in leading a team for our transportation services for employees. I gladly accepted. All the experiences I acquired working in different capacities for the company paid off. The Welcome Desk Manager position became available at my location. I went for it and now serve in that role!
The Village is more than just a gym. For many members, it is their second home. It’s one of our greatest strengths - the sense of community along with all of the outstanding team members.
A Village career is also unique because anyone can have the opportunity to work in different capacities at the clubs. As a result, they become well-rounded employees and continue to learn and grow. My journey here is testament to that.

The biggest strength of the Village Health Club & Spa is our deep sense of community. People love to work here! We have a great environment with lots of opportunities for career advancement.John P., Fitness Director Since June 2013

I worked as a Personal Trainer at Gainey Village from September 2013 through May of 2018. After two years away I rejoined the staff as the Fitness Director in June of 2020.
I oversee an amazing staff of Personal Trainers. I help to match members with the right Personal Trainer so that members have an incredible experience working toward their fitness goals. I also oversee our Fitness Concierge staff who ensure that the workout areas are always neat, clean, and safe. The Fitness Concierges are always available to help and answer questions from the members.
I’ve been in this business a long time. This is the only place that I’ve worked as an employee where the focus is about the members’ experiences. Everywhere else it is about closing a deal. This is a unique environment that allows employees to grow and feel fulfilled.
If you have a passion for health, fitness and activity come join us. You can be part of a team and community, and work in a great environment with opportunities for career advancement.

There has never been a day that I have not wanted to go to work. I genuinely love my job and my team. I have friends that dread going to work every day and I cannot even imagine feeling like that.Sherri H., Accounting Manager Since January 2004

Sherri H., Accounting Manager Since January 2004
I started my career at Village Health Club & Spa as a Front Desk Attendant, moved over to the Spa, then supported other departments as needed. I then got a job as the Membership Accountant at DC Ranch right after they opened. I moved over to lead Membership Accountant at Camelback and then was promoted to Accounting Manager.
As Accounting Manager, I take pride in helping all our employees from different roles and backgrounds with their financials. I did not ever see myself in accounting, but when I started, I found my habits fit in with the accounting culture. I love finding out why things are off. It is like a puzzle to me, so every day I feel like I get to come into a puzzle that I need to solve for the day.
I absolutely love that I can leave my desk and grab a quick workout, shower, and then go right back to my desk. Health and wellness are so important, so it is awesome to get to work for a company that allows this freedom and encourages us to have fun and participate in club activities.
