I started off as the Fitness Director at the DC Ranch club in June of 2013. I was promoted to the Assistant General Manager of the Ocotillo club in February of 2015, where I was involved in the opening of the newest Village location.
In my current role, I ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day operations are operating efficiently creating a 5-star experience for our members, guests, and staff.
The culture at the Village really sets us apart. We are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of our members, as well as our employees. I regularly see employees from all departments interacting with, encouraging, and even working out with our members. We truly practice what we preach.
One of the greatest strengths of the Village is the way we engage, develop, promote, and retain our employees. Of our 10 department managers, 4 have been promoted from within the company and 4 have been with the Ocotillo Village since we opened. The culture, facility, staff, and members make the Village a place you want to come to everyday. It really does make coming to work easy.
There are so many things I am proud of in this organization. I am proud of the facilities we have built, maintain, and continue to improve. I am proud of the way we treat our staff, develop our staff, and improve their lives. Last, but not least, I am proud of the work we do to make people’s lives happier and healthier.

I manage the daily operations of the spa which includes customer service, staffing, training, ordering retail and managing the most amazing team of people.
We share the same goals and beliefs at the Village. Everyone here is on a mission to be healthy. We focus on the overall wellness of an individual, wanting each person to feel an overall sense of health both physically and mentally.
It is also a place where people are very social and share their fitness goals, share their triumphs, cheer one another on and strive to improve and grow.
I want to see future employees come with an open mind, ready to be a part of a team that really cares and creates enjoyable experiences. The more you are willing to jump in and be a part of our family, even outside of your department, the more successful you will be.

I started as a Group Fitness Instructor at the DC Ranch Village. After several years, the Group Fitness Director position at Camelback became open and I was lucky enough to be offered the position. As the Group Fitness Director, I am responsible for the programming of the group fitness classes, as well as the Pilates program.
My favorite part of my job is that I get to attend and teach classes. I earn a living maintaining my health and sharing my knowledge about exercise and wellness with the members. The science of movement is always changing, and I get to present that. It’s fun!
Upper management at The Village encourages its employees to maintain work/life balance. In addition, The Village offers trainings to enhance management skills, provides additional funds for continued education, and supports team building events to build strong Village teams. In my different roles at The Village, I have been able to work autonomously, but always with support from above.
The programs, events and services offered to Village members are created to enhance their experience, and to say thank you for their continued membership. No other club in the Valley does that.
I’ve been in this business a long time. This is the only place that I’ve worked as an employee where the focus is about the members’ experiences. Everywhere else it is about closing a deal. This is a unique environment that allows employees to grow and feel fulfilled.

I assist the General Manager in managing the daily operations of the entire club, including the management of several department heads. My role varies day to day, and changes frequently with the club’s needs.
My favorite part about my role is working with my team. I have a wonderful team that I get to work with. I also get to make sure that our members are having a great time and enjoying their experience at the club.
I hope that my impact as a leader is making a small difference in someone’s life. I get to mentor employees, empower them to make decisions, and make connections with our members all day long. So, there is plenty of opportunity to make a difference! A little kindness, a smile, or a simple compliment can go a long way.
