I began my career at our very first location, Metro Sport and Health Club, in Phoenix in 1994. I worked at the front desk while finishing my degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. While at Metro Sport and Health club, I worked the café, fitness department, activities, camps, and operations. I transferred to the Gainey Village location in 2000 as the Assistant Front Desk Manager. In 2002, I became the Director of Front Desk Operations, in 2007 I was promoted to Assistant General Manager. In 2014, I was promoted to Gainey Village General Manager.
As the General Manager, I oversee the day-to-day activities that go on in the health club establishment. I manage all the staff that perform services within the club. I am responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of the club and equipment. I am also responsible for all aspects of maintaining the business and making sure members and employees are happy.
Village Health Club & Spa has been my life for 27 years now. If it were not a company that I believed in, I wouldn’t still be here.

I was hired in Kids Club and started to help in a variety of different areas, including Front Desk and working on the Fitness Floor. Shortly after I was hired, there was an opening for the Assistant Activities Director position at the Gainey location. I quickly applied and was beyond excited to receive the position. I worked in that role for 2 years and then the Activities Director position opened at another location. Once again, I applied and was fortunate enough to take on a management role! I have now been in the position for 4 years! Time sure flies when you’re having fun.
I tell everyone I have the fun job at the Village because I plan all the social events & activities!
I create a wide variety of outings for our members. This includes trips to Telluride, CO, Havasupai and even SWITZERLAND! We also have fun local outings including hikes, happy hours, women’s group events, food truck nights, farmers markets, and so much more.
The Village is really a second home! I spend a lot of time here, not because I have to, because I WANT to. I have the ability to workout, shower, order from the café, treat myself to the spa and shop at the boutique all at work!

I started as a part-time Youth Services Attendant while in college in 2007, I then became Lead Attendant and Camp Director in 2014 and was promoted to Youth Services Director in late 2020.
Our members become more than a daily face around the club. The Village staff makes sure their members feel they are at their home away from home. Their happiness is the Village’s #1 priority!
